Mariée de l'Atelier : Sophie

Bride of the Workshop: Sophie

custom wedding dress sketch

Sophie is my older sister, so having her wedding dress custom-made was a no-brainer.

After sharing her inspirations at length and discussing dress silhouettes suited to her body shape, we chose an A-line dress, flowing and fitted at the waist.

For the dress underneath (which will be revealed as an evening gown), we chose a beautiful, ultra-fluid, blue Nyl silk satin, made in France . A marvel for creating superb skirt effects at the opening of the ball!

For the top dress, Sophie absolutely wanted a pretty lace in a vintage spirit , in keeping with many of the wedding details (1920s hairstyle, retro Buick with chauffeur, etc.). We selected an embroidered tulle with pretty bucolic patterns and an ecru shade, from Spain, for a romantic dress with a train effect that was both impactful and elegant. Sophie said yes in August 2024 in the pretty Loire region.
